Audit
Clinical audit allows services to evaluate their care against key quality standards, helping them to identify areas where they may need to improve.
The QA team facilitates the trust’s internal mandatory audit programme, which involves teams completing up to 5 mandatory audits every quarter including:
- Infection control
- Clinical Use of Medicines
- Safe and Secure Handling of Medication
- Controlled Drugs
- Transcribing Audit
Locally, our Directorate Management Teams are also asked to define their own standards which are important for them and help to ensure all services within their directorate are meeting key standards.
In addition, the trust participates within the external HQIP National audit programme which is supported by the RCPSYCH.
